Entertainer Hiram Kasten, who transformed stand-up parody and organization Network programs like "Seinfeld," kicked the bucket in western New York after a drawn out disease, his family said Sunday.


Kasten was 71 when he died in Batavia, beyond Bison, as per an assertion posted on his Facebook page.


"Hiram Kasten cherished the stage and experienced his fantasy about being in Broadway," the family said in a proclamation reporting his passing.

Kasten's reason for death was not uncovered however the family said he'd been "battling through a huge number of sicknesses" in the beyond seven years, "counting prostate malignant growth."


In the beyond a half year, Kasten had been telling companions he was critically ill.


"His incredible satire and imaginative local area revitalized to his side," his family said. "A few made outings to Batavia to visit him, late night Zoom gatherings with companions on the two coasts resulted and went into the early morning."


Kasten, a Bronx local and deep rooted Yankees fan, was a pillar in New York City's satire scene all through the 1980s playing in clubs like The Funny cartoon and Parody Basement.


He cherished the art of satire and would consistently work long distance race ends of the week, doing gigs in far away spots like New Jersey and Staten Island prior to hurrying back to Manhattan for late-night sets.

Kasten ultimately moved to Los Angeles to seek after acting and worked consistently all through the 90s and mid 2000s with credits on "seventh Paradise," "Sabrina the High school Witch," "Check Your Excitement," "Everyone Loves Raymond," "Frantic About You," "The New Sovereign of Bel-Air," "L.A.Law," "Seinfeld" and "It's Like, You Know..."


His "Seinfeld" work came in three episodes in 1993-94 playing a collaborator of Elaine Benes, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.


Kasten and his significant other, Diana Kastenbaum moved to Batavia in 2012 so she could be near her maturing father. She ran for Congress in 2016.


Kasten is made due by his significant other and their girl, Millicent Jade Kastenbaum.
